About Us

SAHADEVA YOGA

Sahadeva Yoga Center was created with the vision to offer yoga as a way to connect with our true self and all beings around us, allowing us to live a meaningful life. Through our practices we create an inner state of peace and harmony, cultivating the conditions to live up to our full potential. In our center we embrace each student with love and warmth, creating a supportive community and reminding to each other that we are all connected.

The Sanskrit word Sahadeva means “thousand gods”. Sahadeva was one of the characters of the Indian epic Mahabharata. He was the youngest of the Pandava brothers, known for his wisdom and knowledge.

Evi Tassa Bali.JPG

EVI TASSA

Evi Tassa has been immersed in the journey of self – discovery for the last 13 years. She met yoga while studying Fine Arts in Bali, in 2010. Practicing yoga and meditation revealed her a new way of life, the one that connect us with the true self and our true nature. In 2013 she was certified as a yoga teacher with the intention to inspire people to experience the conscious life and follow a path of self - realization. Her classes are naturally flowing, creating space for people to transform and grow. As a ritual, they lead you in a deeper state of inner freedom and tranquility.

Following her inner calling, Evi travelled to India in 2016 and stayed in an ashram for deeper self – exploration through yoga and meditation. She lived in China from 2017 until 2019, where she experienced the Taoist culture and taught yoga. In 2019 she visited India again, to study next to Swami Vidyanand.

Evi is an E-RYT 500 of Yoga Alliance and a Grand Master Yoga & Meditation of Yoga Alliance International of India. She has been also certified as a teacher in Restorative, Yin Yoga, Prenatal and Kids Yoga. For 5 years she attended Sanskrit language and Indian Philosophy classes at the Athens Center for Indian & Indo - Hellenic Studies.

She is the founder of Sahadeva Yoga Center, where she teaches yoga and meditation and leads Yoga Teacher Trainings with the vision to inspire people to connect deeper to their selves and live up to their full potential.

ANASTASIA SIAMPLI

Anastasia was born and raised in Athens and now studies in the School of Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. At the age of nine, she attended her first yoga class. Although she found it very interesting, she could not realize at that time the more profound benefits one can derive from yoga. Later, she included yoga practice in her daily life, and with a desire to share her experience, she decided to become a yoga teacher. Thus, she trained in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga (200h) under the guidance of Evi Tassa at Sahadeva Yoga School and later in Aerial Yoga. Through creative flows, her goal is to inspire her practitioners to get in touch with their deepest self and adopt a new way of life full of gratitude, respect, and love..

Vera was born in the city of Volos where she grew up. The deep connection she always felt with nature led her to the studies of Environmental Engineering at DFT and later in corresponding postgraduate studies. She met yoga in 2019, and from the very first practice, its benefits and effects were felt both on a physical and spiritual level.

Realizing the change it can bring to the way of thinking and living and feeling the need to share it, she decides to follow this path professionally. In 2020 she is training in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga (200hrs), under the guidance of Evi Tassa. She now teaches classes and at the same time continues her journey as a student herself with the aim of deepening her knowledge into the philosophy and system of yoga.

HATHA YOGA

Most Yoga practices are based on Hatha Yoga. It is a classic form of yoga that has long been practiced in India, including body postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

The concept Ha represents the sun, while Tha represents the moon. Hatha Yoga practice aims to balance the two energies, the male and the female, the warm and the cold, and consequently the balance in our lives.

AERIAL YOGA

In Aerial Yoga practice, we use hammocks hanging from the ceiling to perform the yoga poses. Aerial yoga develops muscle strengthening and cultivates flexibility, while decompresses the spine. It is a pleasant and fun way to exercise.

In Aerial Yoga practice, a reservation is required.

Gentle HATHA

In the practice of Restorative Yoga we use props to hold the postures for a long time.

With bolsters, blocks, belts and blankets the body relaxes deeply and the mind rests. Ideal practice for eliminating stress, relieving chronic pain and injuries.

SAHADEVA YOGA

ASHTANGA YOGA

Power Yoga is a dynamic style of yoga, synchronising breath with movement. The sequence includes asanas (poses) linked by vinyasas (flowing movement).

Sound Healing.jpg

MEDITATION & SOUND HEALING

Sound Healing is a journey of relaxation through sound vibrations. The sound of tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gong, and cymbals, have a relaxing effect on the nervous system and the physical body. The sound frequencies synchronize brain waves to achieve deep states of relaxation and restoration.

The mind calms down and is led into a state of meditation.

We would be happy to meet you in our school to create a pleasant, connected and supportive community.

For a better experience we suggest you choose comfortable clothes, avoid using perfume, and have completed your last meal 3 hours earlier.

Thank you very much for turning off your cell phones for as long as you are in the school, and for remaining in creative silence during the practice.
